How to set your venue's opening hours

Declare your hours per day of the week. Whatever you set always wins over any other source.

For: owner, manager

Why your hours beat any other source

The hours shown on your listing can come from several sources: what you declare in the panel, community proposals that reached consensus, OpenStreetMap data, or data from the initial catalogue ingestion. There's a fixed priority order and the venue owner always wins: as soon as you declare hours, they show above any other source, for good (until you change them).

If you've never declared anything, the system shows the best data it has: first whatever the community confirmed by consensus, then OpenStreetMap, then whatever the initial catalogue brought in, and as a last resort an estimate based on sport and country (labelled as an estimate, never shown as confirmed data).

How to declare it

  1. In your panel's hours section, edit each day of the week separately: opening time, closing time, or "closed" if you don't open that day.
  2. You can leave a day unset — that does NOT mean "closed", it means "we don't know", and the system keeps showing the best available source for that specific day until you fill it in.
  3. Changes show up on your public listing as soon as you save them.

The difference between "closed" and "no data"

Marking a day as closed is a statement from you ("we don't open on Mondays") and is shown as such, struck through or labelled closed. Leaving it blank is different: it's admitting you haven't declared it, and the system looks for the best source it has (community, OpenStreetMap, estimate).
