Owner guide: what to set up in the first week
What only the owner (administrator) can do, and the order that works best.
For: owner
What the owner is
The owner is the person who created the venue (administrator). It is the only role with every action, and the one thing that is not shared is ownership: you can grant the administrator role to someone else, but the owner stays the same.
The first week, in order
- Venue identity (Settings → Identity): name, address, photo and visibility. This is what the public sees.
- Spaces and hours (Settings → Bookings and payments → Courts): create the spaces and their rules. Opening hours have their own guide.
- Prices and payments: prices, deposits and memberships belong to the owner (nobody else can change them). Online payment is switched on by connecting Stripe.
- Team (Settings → Team): invite people with the role that fits them. Only the owner hands out roles.
- Second factor: in Settings → Team → Security you can require a second factor from the whole team, with a grace period.
- Notices: choose which messages go out on their own, through which channel and with what text.
If you are coming from another program
Settings has the migration (import people, passes and balances, and the municipal register), the rollout project (20 steps with its calendar and cut-over plan) and the training environment, a practice venue with sample data so the team can rehearse without touching anything real.
Taking your data with you
The full export (members, calendar, history and finances) is requested from Settings and arrives as a file with a manifest. It is yours: there is no lock-in.
What you don't need to touch
Each role's permissions come already resolved: front desk doesn't see money, administration doesn't see people, the manager doesn't change prices. If you wonder what someone can see, each role's guide says so.
